Amber Heard returned to the witness stand on Thursday in the defamation trial of Johnny Depp.
Heard had described the early stages of their relationship the day before, before going into detail about when and how he allegedly began to physically abuse her.
Depp allegedly struck her multiple times on one occasion, was incredibly jealous of her, and once gave her a “cavity search” while seeking for drugs, according to her.
She began her testimony on Thursday by showing a photo she took of Depp in July 2013.
When questioned why she snapped the photo, she explained that she was noticing a pattern of behaviour that she wanted to record.
“He wouldn’t remember or deny it or accuse me of saying this had happened when it didn’t and there was no one to back me up.”
Another photo was also released on March 22, 2013, after he allegedly burned a painting and began “accusing me of having affairs with a musician, my ex-partner.”
She claimed it was taken “after a several-day bender,” during which Depp was “on a drug binge” after a time of no eating and very little sleep.
“There’d be a major blowup, he’d become sick, pass out, and feel awful, and then there’d be a period of sobriety,” she continued.
He was drinking at the restaurant and the kids were kind of noticing, but not really sure what to make of it,” she said. “Johnny became upset with me for judging him.”
