A Celebrity Married at First Sight Is Reportedly On the Way

In a recent interview with Nova’s  Fitzy and Wippa, TV host Richard Wilkins revealed that he was offered ” I won’t mention the amount of money but a lot of zeros” by then Nine’s CEO  David Gyngell to do Celebrity Married At First Sight.

It’s been reported that other Australian celebrities have also been approached to star on the show.

According to NW, Married at First Sight relationship expert John Aiken has apparently suggested two possibilities for the all-star season in a recently leaked text.

The article says that producers are experimenting with the format.

“They’ll bring back past contestants and pair them with celebrities in order to produce new reality shows,” a source told the publication.

A producer at Endemol told New Idea last year that casting agents had mentioned Richard Reid, Yvie Jones, Ash Williams, Tully Smyth, Harry T, and Paulini Curuenavuli.

Furthermore, Ugandan-Australian socialite Suzan Mutesi recently revealed to Daily Mail Australia that she was offered to join the show, but has declined the offer.

While the celebrity MAFS is just a rumour at this stage, next years season is expected to bring a shift for the reality TV show.

A source has told the Daily Mail that Nine is entertaining two new formats for MAFS’ tenth season: a celebrity “mini season” and a “heroes vs villains” reunion.
