A man has been charged with animal cruelty at a Sydney school over the last month.
Police announced on Thursday that they had been looking into the case since receiving reports of possible break-ins at St Mary’s Senior High School.
It’s alleged that a male assaulted goats and sheep kept on the school’s premises between April 27 and May 18.
About 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, cops detained the suspect on the premises.
He was denied bail and will appear in Penrith local court on Thursday when he will face additional charges including break and enter and animal cruelty violations.
